Position Title: Education Intern
Reports to: Director of Education
Work Schedule: Flexible schedule between the hours of 11 am - 7 pm. May be asked to work some weekends and evenings
Duties include assisting in the development and delivery of education programs for youth and adults, scheduling and coordinating programming, assisting with special events, promotion of education programs and events through written press releases, website updates and social media outlets and assisting the Education Director with departmental activities. Conduct and implement survey evaluations for educational programs.
Candidates must demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to and facilitate organizational change. We are looking for an energetic person with strong organizational, writing and communication skills, confidently manage multiple tasks concurrently, and be comfortable working independently and as a team in a diverse environment. Candidate must also be proficient in Excel, Word, and Mac computers and have a working knowledge of social media outlets.

We need academic tutors and volunteers in the following areas: Dance, Theater, Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Science, History, Math and English to help out with our Creative Arts Academy After School Program.
Creative Arts Academy is CFAC's pre-professional arts program for students in grades 7 through 12 interested in the possibility of the visual and performing arts as a potential professional pursuit. Its mission is to engage, nurture and empower young people from the city of Syracuse through the arts, in preparation for advance study in the visual and expressive arts. We believe that the arts provide a sound foundation for young people resulting in an improved sense of self, fortifying them to perform better in school and unearth their infinite potential.
