Classes/Workshops

Adult Classes (15 and over)

Ceramic Handbuilding I

Day: Wednesdays
Time: 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Dates: Jan. 25 - Mar. 28 (10 weeks)
Cost: $180 + $30 material fee

This class is designed for beginners but can accommodate any level of experience. We will utilize the medium of clay to create a number of objects that introduce the student to basic handbuilding techniques using slabs and coils. In addition, students will explore decoration using stamps and carving. Students will also explore surface decoration such as sgraffito, resist, using underglaze and cone six glazes. The class will be taught by Amy Komar.

Group Piano Lessons

Day: Wednesday
Time: 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Dates: Feb. 8 - Mar. 28 (8 weeks)
Cost: $140

Learn how to play one of the world's most popular instruments in this exciting group class. It will be taught by Marcia Hagen.

Zumba Fitness

Days: Thursdays, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Dates: Ongoing, beginning Thurs. March 1
Cost: $40 for the full course

Zumba Fitness is a fitness/aerobic dance program and features a variety of Latin rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Open to all!

Wheel Throwing II

Days: Thursdays, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Dates: Jan. 26 - Mar. 29 (10 weeks)
Cost: $200 + $45 material fee

Advance your knowledge by exploring pottery terminology and wheel throwing skills. This class is for advanced students only and will be taught by Katherine Hughes.

Introduction to Spanish (for adults)

Days: Thursdays, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Dates: Feb. 23 - March 22 (5 weeks)
Cost: $60 for the series

This class will be taught by Yudaisy Fernandez.

Youth Classes

Introduction to Spanish (for ages 7-12)

Days: Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Dates: Feb. 25 - March 24  (5 weeks)
Cost: $60 for the series

Using a variety of creative methods, Yudaisy Fernandez will teach the fundamentals of the Spanish language to children (ages 7-12).

Group Youth Piano Lessons (for ages 6-12)

Day: Saturday
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Dates: Feb. 11 - Mar. 10 (5 weeks)
Cost: $60

Learn how to play the piano in this beginner group class taught by Marcia Hagen.

Adventures in Two Dimensions (for ages 7-12)

Day: Saturday
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dates: Jan. 28 - Feb. 25 (5 weeks)
Cost: $60

Come join the fun with drawing, painting, collage and everything 2-D! This five-week class will include quick one-hour creations as well as things that span more than one day. We will use colors that we create as we mix paints and layer pastels. This will delight youth with its open-ended creativity and parents with the creations resulting from it! This class will be taught by Angela Brangman.
