Learn how to make pots without the wheel! All skill levels are welcome. Your instructor Eunjung Shin Vargas will explore general hand building techniques including, slabs, pinching, coils and molds. Both functional pottery and creative small sculpture is encouraged. Demonstrations and individualized instruction will be provided and students may work at their own pace. Beginning students will learn the fundamentals of clay prep, hand building and glazing. Experienced students will refine skills and work on more complex forms. At the end of the course you will be able to keep all the pieces you have created. A great outlet for a creative mind that doesn't mind getting a bit muddy.

NOTE: This course involves some potentially messy processes so you are advised to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Long pants are suggested; please DO NOT wear flip-flops, hand accessories or flowing shirtsleeves.
