"Illuminate The Arts*" Summer Break Camp
Click Here to apply for this camp using the printable flyer (pdf. format). SUMMER CAMP 2007 will highlight experiences in painting, ceramics, drawing, dance and photography. Instructors will be named at a later date in the near future. *Illuminate the Arts Project is an ongoing program that seeks to enrich the lives of children of all ages by offering, state of the art, workshops in the visual, performing and literary arts from a diverse perspective. The project’s overall objective is to introduce the disciplines of theater, poetry, dance and the visual arts to young people, giving them the basic concepts and fundamentals of elocution, movement, written expression and the studio arts. The program seeks to promote artistic exploration, inspire individual creativity and foster understanding and skills regarding art and culture. Charly Palmer and Brantely Carroll Participants engage with visiting professional artists and professors as well as students of art at Syracuse University. Activities are designed to illuminate each child’s inner artist. The environment created encourages self-expression, self esteem and elevated academic achievement. Winter Break Camp 2007 will highlight experiences in painting, ceramics, drawing, dance and sculpture. Instructors will include: Alanda Bolden (Sculpture), Jacquelyn Maye (Paint on Everything), Monica Leap (Ceramics), Karen Patton, (Special Projects), and Dance will also be offered.
